Hartford was engaged to guide AgResearch though an evaluation and selection process for a new financial management information system. Hartford is presently engaged in an on-going quality assurance role for the project implementation.


Ministry of Education

Hartford was engaged to analyse linkages between student achievement outcomes and financial planning and management processes in a cluster of Auckland schools.



Role: Various, from Programme Manager to Analyst
Engagement: Hartford was engaged to manage the implementation of an integrated manufacturing and financial information system across the dairy companies that were merged to create Fonterra. The project is regarded as one of the largest information systems projects ever undertaken in New Zealand, and Fonterra were the recipient of the 'Most Successful Project Implementation of the Year' award at the Computerworld Excellence Awards 2003.

Role: Programme Manager
Engagement: Hartford fulfilled the role of programme manager for the development of a web-based logistics information system, incorporating multi party and multi system integration.


Tourism Holdings Ltd

Role: Project Manager, Advisor to the MD (1998-2001)
Engagement: Hartford completed strategic information systems planning, financial systems selection and implementation, business process re-engineering of the transport division, consolidation of call-centres and overall information technology management assignments.



Role: Project Manager
Engagement: Hartford managed a project that implemented an Internet portal for RD1.com, a (then) New Zealand Dairy Group subsidiary. The project included design, development and implementation of an Oracle Web Store, integration with existing back office systems, and building an information portal using Oracle Web DB.
